I heard yesterday the sad news that Sir Ken Robinson has died. I was inspired by him to write my song “In My Element”. It seemed right to sing this one during the concert I had for Pittsburgh Irish Festival’s Facebook page. Check out one of his talks here. And here’s a recording on Bandcamp of In My Element from Bewley’s Cafe Theatre Ireland.
My latest Songwriting Workshop was my first zoom workshop with a group and we had a very creative bunch of young songwriters who helped me write a fun song from scratch within 2 hours. No mean feat. They did a great job. The workshop was through South Dublin Libraries who are creating plenty of content on their facebook page to keep youngsters entertained.
Our song is called Magical Animals Magic

Well I’m afraid I have to give today’s Live Stream a miss folks.
We are apartment hunting. But I have an Outside Jive for you of me singing Keep a Trickle Flowin. I was on an evening walk during the week and the fountain in the little park was
still trickling which inspired me to start singing. Watch out for the fire flies (The Sparks glowin!) and the deer I met before it got dark by the time I got home. Listen out for crickets and noisy Cicada.

This month my special guest Robin James Hurt and I explore The Wild Mountain Thyme or Go Lassie Go.
And you get to hear Robin James Hurt‘s studio version and a live singalong version from myself and Helena Byrne. The melody we couldn’t quite remember the name of was The Three Carls of Buchanan. We mention Brendan Hickey who has a website and podcast show called sráidbhaile of unique recordings that goes out regularly.
