Roald Dahl Day and Song

Posted on 14 Sep 2016

I was delighted to be asked to take part in an event for schoolchildren yesterday as part of Roald Dahl Day in the Lexicon Theatre in Dún Laoighre along with Spoken Word artist Erin Fornoff and storyteller Gráinne Clear. The event was organized by the writer in residence, Sarah Webb. I songified a few pieces from Dahl books, sang the Oompa Loompa songs (great fun) and wrote a little tribute to the man himself which I’ve just made a little video of for you all. After re-reading a few of his books lately I’m reminded of his extraordinary imagination
which is infectious and I realize I’ve probably only read three quarters of his books, so I’m looking forward to remedying that.
