London Irish Centre – Liam O’Maonlai

Enda and Liam

Enda and Liam

I got back from London last night after a wonderful evening of music in the London Irish Centre the night before. There were lots of Irish and even some gaeilgeoirs in the audience. I did a mix of New Songs In Irish and other songs including I Rolled Her Down, We all own the Sky (a new climate change song) and a brand new “goof” (as the poet John Cummins would say) called Canal Bank Hangover Walk. I was delighted to get up at the end with Liam and play An Cailín Álainn which was impromtu bu fun. At the end of the night a lady came over to me and said that the song was written about a relative of hers which added nicely to the randomness of the evening. Lovely place; You should call in if you’re in London.  Here’s some more snaps of the evening thanks to Sorcha

I’m currently on my way to London via boat and train for a gig in the London Irish Centre in Camden Square on Wednesday 18th. I’ll be supporting Liam O Maonlai. If you’re in London then it’d be great to you. Slán go fóill. E
