Filíocht Ghaeilge – Irish Poetry

So I had a bit of a challenge but a great experience last week coming up with guitar music to accompany some translations of poetry to Irish and original Irish poetry by three poets; Gabriel Rosenstock, Liam O Muirthile and Ailbhe Ní Ghearrbhuigh. The event was run by Imram. I haven’t used guitar effects pedals since I left the electric guitar down years ago but they made a reappearance and I had great fun with it I must say. Who knows I think some new songs might come out of this ‘new old sound’ for me.
