Radio Performances

Posted on 28 Dec 2013

So I’ve been on a few radio shows of late. Catch up below.

Ronan Beo ar RTE RNaG

Rónán Beo @3 Chaith mé dhá uair a chloig le Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí, Rónán Ó Snodaigh agus beirt ón banna ceoil Moxie. In late November I spent a lovely 2 hours sharing music on our national Irish Language Broadcasting radio station with some other amazing musicians including Rónán Ó Snodaigh from the hugely influential band Kila who has an album out in Irish called Sos.

Then we had a great night in RTÉ Radio 1’s studio 8 at The Nighthawks Christmas Special on the Arena Show on the 23rd Dec. You can hear Cathy McEvoy and myself playing another version of Cur An Long Ag Seol at 43.50 into the show. It’s really worth listening to the entire show because it’s brimming with Ceol.

I was in Newstalk the day before on the 22nd. Listen from 35 mins into the show to hear Cur an Long ag Seol. Had a great chat with Fiach and Ulich O’Connor, whilst waiting to go into the studio. Fiach plays a lovely version of Chestnuts roasting on an Open Fire … at 45.40.

Three Free Tracks Album Taster

3 Free Tracks – Album Taster

So I’ve finished recording the next album. It’s all as gaeilge/in Irish/gaelic and I had some help from musician friends in making it. My plan is to give a 3 track taster away for free for the month of December and see how many of you are interested, then I’ll contact you in the new year to see who wants a CD so I can know how many Cds to go and make.

If you’d like to get the 3 free tracks from Amhráin Nua i nGaeilge – New Songs In Irish then here’s the craic below.

Go to www.endareilly.info put your email in the box, get the download link in your email.
After you download them, the tracks will be in a zipped file. All you do is unzip them and save them on your computer and/or your phone/ipod yokey.
The three freetracks are as follows…
A story about a swallow that comes to the rescue when a boy and a girl are trying to meet at a fair years ago before texting!
I mo cheann is í an cailín céanna, nuair ata sí 16 nms, a bhí san amhrán, “Beidh Aonach Amárach…” atá san amhráin seo.
About Nature, Autumn leaves falling and the beauty all around us. This one was recorded with one mic and is Enda and guitar.
A song about being positive. We take a metaphorical trip down the Shannon on a boat and out to sea!You might have heard some of these songs before, but these are new recordings featuring Gary Raymond on percussion, Rama Block on Bass, Mossy Nolan on Mandolin, Tim Hart on the low whistle, Christophe Capewell on Fiddles and Accordion (Cur an Long) and Eimear Lynch and Cathy McEvoy also on fiddles (An Fáinleog). The main Album will also feature duets with Aoife Scott and Pearse McGloughlin, songsco-written with Gabriel Rosenstock, Aisling Kavanagh and Pearse as well as two instrumentals.
So if you go to www.endareilly.info put your email in the box and the link will be sent to you.
