Methadone Denial

This song was inspired by a lecture given by the late Richard Douthwaite where he mentioned how the use of fossil fuels is like being addicted to hard drugs. You can hear his explanation 52 minutes in on this link. http://vimeo.com/8738847

The song Methadone Denial  is about a year old but still has a relevant message to deliver I feel. It’s a tough thing to give up or cut down on something you are used to all your life, but it’s such a pressing matter now that CO2 levels are going up and up and causing Climate Change around the world, that we really have to look hard at our energy use. Anyway the song is my attempt at highlighting our addiction to fossil fuels.
