Smaointe agus roinnt ceoil nua uaimse ar Clar nua de chuid RNaG agus mé ag labhairt le Richie O’hEadhra. My thoughts on writing and composing in Irish.
So I’ve been on a few radio shows of late. Catch up below.
Rónán Beo @3 Chaith mé dhá uair a chloig le Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí, Rónán Ó Snodaigh agus beirt ón banna ceoil Moxie. In late November I spent a lovely 2 hours sharing music on our national Irish Language Broadcasting radio station with some other amazing musicians including Rónán Ó Snodaigh from the hugely influential band Kila who has an album out in Irish called Sos.
Then we had a great night in RTÉ Radio 1’s studio 8 at The Nighthawks Christmas Special on the Arena Show on the 23rd Dec. You can hear Cathy McEvoy and myself playing another version of Cur An Long Ag Seol at 43.50 into the show. It’s really worth listening to the entire show because it’s brimming with Ceol.
I was in Newstalk the day before on the 22nd. Listen from 35 mins into the show to hear Cur an Long ag Seol. Had a great chat with Fiach and Ulich O’Connor, whilst waiting to go into the studio. Fiach plays a lovely version of Chestnuts roasting on an Open Fire … at 45.40.
3 Free Tracks – Album Taster
So I’ve finished recording the next album. It’s all as gaeilge/in Irish/gaelic and I had some help from musician friends in making it. My plan is to give a 3 track taster away for free for the month of December and see how many of you are interested, then I’ll contact you in the new year to see who wants a CD so I can know how many Cds to go and make.
If you’d like to get the 3 free tracks from Amhráin Nua i nGaeilge – New Songs In Irish then here’s the craic below.
After you download them, the tracks will be in a zipped file. All you do is unzip them and save them on your computer and/or your phone/ipod yokey.
